West Ham willing to let him go for only £6m

[Link]

West Ham fans seem to think he hasn't been given a fair go because of Moyes favourites.....sound familiar ?

6m seems like a bargain to me, and would solve our left side issue.

good call. Looked good, if a bit inconsistent, at Burnley and plays on the left.

Maybe a loan with an obligation to buy may suit both parties.

Could he be off to the African cup though??

One of the issues at West Ham has been between Moyes and their DOF, specifically the players brought in.

Cornet could be a good example of that.

I don't think he would get in a fully fit starting eleven with us, but is certainly better than most of what we have on the bench.

I was only thinking of Maxwel Cornet the other day, and wondering what had happened to him. He was excellent in a struggling Burnley side a few seasons ago, always among the goals, not that they scored too many. Quite versatile as well if I recall, and could even provide cover at left-back if needed.

On the face of it I think he'd be a terrific signing, and it would seem crazy not to show any interest. Inexpensive, good age (27), London-based, versatile, can score goals, has PL experience and is a francophone as well, like many in the squad are. And, as if that isn't enough, West Ham definitely aren't in for him!

Sign him up!

Would get the ok from me. Decent player and sensible price.

My sentiments entirely reflect those shared thus far. I'd be very content with this. I was genuinely surprised at how Burnley managed to get him in the first instance, and resentful it wasn't us.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

We really should be in for him, which means we obviously won't be. The one thing we can guarantee is that West Ham wouldn't gazump us on this one. Forest it is, I guess.

With only one PL appearance this season he certainly seems like he could be an option. When he was at Burnley he didn't always look like a grafter which could be why Moyes isn't playing him. I do wonder if that might also limit his opportunities under Roy who seems to want his wingers to defend as much as they attack.

Not really been given much of a chance at Spam Ham but was a popular figure when at Lyon. I can think of worse players and finally a replacement for Zaha. Whether it will work out or not I don't know but have a feeling this transfer could happen.

Appears a last minute loan is being explored. If we get him it will be a fantastic window overall

Various media outlets have been reporting this one heavily since this morning.

Clearly there is something in it so we will see what tomorrow brings.
