Well is it going to happen this season, have chanced things once to often Mr Parish, firstly l was really surprised when the begging bowel went out for new stand money, but that confirmed what a mess we are really in,we are up the creek without a paddle, other clubs know we are a weak side,we haven't spent well to cover our arse for this season, and now l believe we will be selling at least two of our crown jewels in January, and probably replace with mediocrity, that wont get us out of trouble, our poor old manager has run out of ideas, our board is anonymous, and all in all a really depressing place for me,as a Palace fan for 60 years, yes l know we have seen it all before, but l really thought at the end of last season we had finally come good and could make the breakthrough ,how wrong l was, heartbreaking!!!

We will be in the zone by the New Year barring a miracle.
Your post is spot on Pax.

I suspect we might not actually find ourselves in the relegation zone but will be perilously close to it.

There are those who are of the opinion that Mr Hodgson will not be at the helm at the start of the year.

I still think we'll avoid it this year, but only by the fact that the bottom 3 are truly terrible.

I suspect the Roy rear-guard will be in force over the next 6 games and we may pick up the odd point.

Lets just hope that this debacle will make Parish and DF think a little more about the depth of the squad. Its unacceptable

You don't say, wow. Roy is as much responsible for his demise as the chairman or the players, I have little sympathy. no need to criticize the youngsters, or the fans, a sure sign that the wheels are coming off the cart. Is he all there? Does he care anymore? He certainly looks to have aged considerably since his first stint.
I do honestly wonder why he took the job on this season, he could have walked away into the sunset with the promise of a statue in his honour sited prominently in the walk up to the mythical new stand after last season's joyous return. I guess he just can't resist.

It's make or break time for Parish, the overweening BS merchant.
For the tidy sum wasted on a sicknote keeper, an untried Brazilian youngster and an Arsenal sicknote reject, a couple of essential positions could have been filled, and along with a couple of judicious loans we could have rolled out a near full 11 up to PL standard.

17th place is very much a possibility in the coming weeks. A sure sign that numerous poor decisions regarding the player pool and the choice of manager have taken place along the way.

1. Spend some money
2. New manager (who can galvanise the players)
3. Stay up

It’s not rocket science

As I said on another thread, the team that was so poor on Wednesday was only two players short of the team that beat Leeds 5-1. Time for SP to walk the walk.

I suspect Everton will be breathing down our necks soon as well after thrashing Newcastle last night. Dyche has fired them up sufficiently to prise them out of the relegation zone already, despite their 10 point penalty.

It's not looking good but the situation will be clearer after seeing how well we compete with Liverpool tomorrow.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I feel as though they will not be breathing down our necks for long POG. They'll probably fly past us in the league, as will others, whilst we enter yet another period where the signs of our next point (singular) are few and far between.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

If we do go down we certainly wont be missed by the Premier League or the TV audience. We bring nothing to the league at all apart from a colourful ground atmosphere and even that is going because of the performances. The club is treading water.
I can see one of our CBs leaving in Jan, it will be the only way to finance recruitments which we desperately need. Grim times

Agree.

I'm pretty confident we'll be 17th by Xmas day.

I suppose in a funny way given the level of hte bottom 3, maybe this isn't a bad year to be sh1t. Might give the board a kick up the backside

Dangerous thinking but that's my silver lining for now.

Agree and one of two options are available to replace him with for example,Kevin Muscat and Potter.
