The £40 m spent on Henderson and Franca is most bizarre. It’s almost as if one the directors said I want these 2 players and I’m going to sign them. Plenty of capable no 2 keepers out there for not much money…£5 m would have been adequate….and someone not injury prone. Franca may be very good in 5 years time but we don’t have that sort of money to splash out on future stars. We badly need a right back an understudy left back and somebody who can put the ball in the net now.

De Gea was (maybe still is) available on a free. Who's better De Gea, Onana or Henderson? I know what my answer would be.

I really don't buy in to all this negative Freedman doesn't know what he's doing rubbish. We've literally landed four of the most promising players in the league in Guehi, Doucoure, Olise and Eze, for a total less than one of them would collect alone right now. Sure, the jury's still out on Franca. But the fact he was coveted by other clubs bigger than us says something. Henderson, I admit, was a weird one. But no club gets it right every time. Look at how much money has been wasted by other big clubs. They can sort of afford to waste it. We cannot. I think Freedman is doing a stellar job.
