Couple of new injuries but Olise and Eze could be on the bench, Mitchel looks like he is out,

JR at right back? or Clyne? possibly Richards?

I love Ward but he has looked shaky last couple of games,

Need something out this game for sure, I am going for 1 -0 Palace

Mitchell has trained all week according to Hodgson and is available. What's the other purported new injury?

I think we'll see the same team start as started against Spurs but with Eze on the bench to come on for the last 20-25 minutes if needed. If we have the game under control by the 65th minute, then there would be no need to risk Eze and he can be saved for the Everton home game when Olise may be fit enough to be on the bench.

I expect at least one of the three youngsters who came on against Spurs to come on at Turf Moor at some point.

See link - suggesting Olise not ready until 11/11.

Good news on Eze - original prognosis suggested a lot longer.

Mitchell looks like will be available - I'd go Richards at right back..!!

I would chace a pound on Schlupp as right back.

As Eze has only missed 4 weeks ,if he has trained all week i would start with him instead of Hughes and also replace ward with Richards .Then hopefully we could have Olise back on the bench for the Everton game

Great that Eze and Mitchell are back in contention. Same team for me as played against Spurs and bring Eze on early in the second half.
Given how well Hughes has been playing it might be a possibility he plays instead of either Schlupp or Lerma if we decide we want a mor e possession-based approach. Personally, i think we are better off with Schlupp, particularly when playing away, as he so much quicker than Hughes.
The only other possible change would be Mateta for Edouard but i don't see this happening.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

If the medical team deem Eze fit enough to start then I'd play him from the start instead of Hughes. Burnley make a lot of mistakes when their defence is put under pressure and we need someone who can capitalise on them.

Id go with that and if not Eze give Ahamada a game ,Hughes is a waste of space playing further up the pitch

The kind of game Burnley would take chunks out of our players. Im happy for eze and olise to come on with 20-30 mins left

Why?

My thinking is that hamstring injuries can flare up and it will mitigate the chance of a re-occurence. Make no mistake Burnley are going to be well up for this game given the team they put out against Everton in the league cup. That is just my opinion from afar but i trust the management to make a call and i will very happy if Eze starts.
