Thought long and hard about starting this based primarily on the fact I will be choosing not to vote in it but thought that this might offer me a chance to perhaps observe it as an outsider so to speak.

I think that just about reflects my feelings too.

I agree with prediction but I also have no great faith in Labour to do much in terms of changing the things that matter for Joe Bloggs. It will be another situation of seeing one rise only to fall and be replaced by the previously fallen again (as I alluded to on another thread).

Any 'right' contingent for the Tories I can only see manifesting almost as a parody of what most would imagine that to look like, with the odd bonkers, failed policy thrown in (Rwanda). The pull and perceived safety of centralism is too strong and either party may only slightly move away from it before being sucked back in.

The day either sticks to it's guns ideologically will be a great one for me. Until then, it is just replacing the blue clowns with the red ones so they can stand in the firing line until the next juncture. That's how I see it anyway. I'd like to see wildcard entries to vote for and that might reinvigorate me, perhaps the Hairy Bikers, Sugababes, Alan Rickman or the cast of Shameless, something like that.

I wasn't ever against the principle of the policy AS, however my belief (or lack of) in seeing it effectively employed has only ever been reflected in the reality.

I have very little faith that even the Tories actually intended to see it through, but it probably secured them some backing which I'd humbly suggest was the primary intention. Either that or to test the water/appetite for such things.

If anything it only reflected an extremely condescending attitude politicians have for the general population. Was a fish that was thrown and happily gobbled up for a short term win.

Never been to Denmark but from my very little insight and knowledge, sounds like a lovely place to live and a great producer of now goalscoring centre backs too.

There are certainly interesting developments afoot.

On the surface level you'd suspect that Farage is there due to the banking situation and regulations but no doubt there are lots of discussions.

Considering he has a large platform they will no doubt want him to sway the large numbers on the right who are disillusioned with the Tories into voting for them.
