Oh dear , all hands to the pump then for a few weeks at least . The problem being that the rest of the squad have to play more games which could mean more injuries

So the club bring in a sicknote keeper for £20m, a sicknote Brazilian wunderkid for £25m, retain a long term RB sicknote, retain a past it sicknote CB, bring in a bargain basement CB to cover the sicknote CB, just in case.

It had to happen. We have had a fairly good run in the last couple of seasons with few serious injuries to players that has kept them out for any length of time. But that good fortune was not going to continue. Our lack of depth in squad quality is going to be exposed. It may get to the point where Roy will have no choice but to give an academy player ( or two) an airing.
