Please, please can we make this happen

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Here is a question. You have a vote to cast. It is the deciding one. Khan or Corybn?

Cyanide or hanging.

I wouldn't vote for either.

If Corbyn stood and won there are 2 ways he could go as London mayor.

1. He does a superb job of running TFL the police and his other Mayoral responsibilities thus sticking two fingers up to the likes of me who reckon he is all protestor and not capable of effective leadership.

2. He uses the post as a club to hit the Tories and involve himself in stuff not related to his Mayoral duties. A sort of Khan on steroids.

My guess it would be 2 he couldn't help himself sticking in the boot in on Palestine or Ireland or Iran.

Rock and a hard-place, I agree. But in my fantasy scenario, you have to vote for one.

Suspect Corbyn would be more the anti-Establishment figure so ticks boxes, at least on that score. But Khan is also more likely to bend with whatever wind is blowing and might, as crazy as it sounds, be the stability candidate.

Corbyn is principled, or at least a lot more than Khan, but again, not necessarily a good thing.

I guess ultimately the Mayor of London is nothing more than glorified bus inspector given that it is only TfL he runs but still an dilema.

Not sure myself. Need time to ponder.

And there is an equivalently luke-warm attitude toward a United Ireland.

I did say when compared to Khan but that does not mean much to be fair.

Corbyn can claim to be very supportive of the London financial services sector. Perhaps he can visit the site of the Bishopsgate bomb with his buddy Gerry Adams ?

Gerry blew up a building. At least Khan (Liverpool FC) only blew up an offensive Trump balloon. And Boris blew up balloons & streamers for his Covid party.

Next Mayor for London : Prince Harry. Apart from some Greek/German lineage, he probably has more connection to London than most. Especially as his great great great great....Aunt lost her head at Tower Green.

I'm not surprised, there is plenty support for a United Ireland as a theoretical concept however once you get to the practicalities..

Do the Southern Irish want 1mm disgruntled Northern Irish citizens, probably not, so then how do you placate them? If you can answer that question you'll get a Nobel Peace prize.

Anyway I bet Corbyn as Mayor couldn't keep his nose out of it.
