More bad news for remoaners

Those who gloated at the supposed failure of the economy vs others now have to digest large chunks of humble pie. Let's see how the Guardian reports this, if at all. One wonders how many of these ONS/BoE et al errors are accidental
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

This is all about our post pandemic recovery and the message, if there is one, is of the success of our pandemic strategy. That the ONS revise their estimates when better data is available is to be welcomed, not condemned. The revisions are relatively minor and carry significant caveats. It seems we continue to use GDP as the base of our statistics whilst other countries are using a more sophisticated analysis better suited to today’s economic conditions. One that causes some doubt about the reliability of ours. Which is probably why international investors continue to shun UK opportunities.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

When are people going to get over this? I voted remain, would vote to rejoin given the chance. BUT, it is what it is, make the best of being out and stop insulting those who voted to stay. Remoaners is a derogative term, grow up.

Surely that depends on whether it’s deserved or not? Not all those who voted leave deserve any of those accusations. Some were sincerely convinced we would be better placed outside the EU. Some though do.

Some, like myself, continue to regard it as a mistake which hopefully in time will be corrected, but aren’t moaning about the past event. That’s done. The focus is now only on the future. If a debate arises about some of the things that happened then perhaps comments will be made but only in the context of learning the lessons in the hope they won’t be repeated. That’s not moaning about the past. It’s preparing for the future.
