This is general not just about football. UK football coaches are improving ... Howe, Potter, Cooper ... but generally all the new sporting ideas come from abroad, Bazball is from a New Zealander, our rugby improved under Eddie jones and has lapsed now he's gone - whether it's tikataka in football, ballistic tackling in rugby, or pinch hitting and playing spinners in T20 all the ideas come from abroad - we can innovate in arts, music, marketing but not in anything with structure and organisation it seems - why aren't there more daring, imaginative ideas from here rather than abroad?

the same could apply to industry

I think it's because they are left hand drives and the rest of the world drives on the other side.

You could try to adapt and also drive on the right-hand side. Maybe only the coaches on a trial-basis at first.

You're both wrong, it's because most of ours are single deckers. Close thread please mods.

Thought Plaxton Panorama was good in its day. Went on a day trip to Southampton Docks with Timpsons at East Croydon on a Panorama.

Last of the great British coaches was around 1980. I think air travel probably ruined it for Leyland

Sorry nobody has taken the question seriously. It's probably because it's so difficult to answer. Could it be the FA coaching system? Is it preaching out-dated techniques?

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.
