Lyon want Christian Pulisic (which of course is has John Textor involved), but Pulisic himself would prefer to stay in the PL.
The link to us is obvious (ie. Textor) but there are some distinct possibilities on why could happen.

Pulisic value has seemingly dropped significantly (20m !!!)
Chelsea would end up taking a massive loss on him if they sell now
No one can offer him his £200k plus wages

A loan to Palace ?
It has worked before with Gallagher and RLC
We could pay half his wages, off Chelsea's books.
If it works well, his transfer value is restored.
Whilst not massively advantageous for us in the long term, it does give us an extra year to build finances for a new left winger (if Zaha leaves, which I'm sure he will) and spend our transfer budget for a new Centre Forward.

We don't even have a manager at present (though that didn't stop us getting Lerma)
The situation doesn't help Textor get Pulisic permanently, infact could make it worse.
Pulisic has had some nasty injuries (a knee injury kept him out for 2 months last season). Don't need another knee injury victim.

I think Pulisic is class, but its highly unlikely this would happen

But if Textor really wanted Pulisic, perhaps he could negotiate a loan with option to buy at a reasonable price.

Interesting one to keep half an eye on though.

Or Pulisic signs for Lyon for say 20m, and lower wages 100K, then they loan him to us on a loan to buy option and we pay the wages, and buy him the following season, or another loan to buy, everyone's a winner, petit pois, mon ami.

I think Pulisic is far superior to Sarr, electric pace, great for counter attack, imagine it Eze providing Him and Olise and the chances being created for Edouard, ahhh

can't see it happening bu Pulisic on loan on reduced wages would be a fantastic deal. If he can stay fit he is a fantastic player.
