Just as an FYI/ICYMI all - my somewhat unintentional shoehorning of myself into the designated driver role for my contingent these days has meant I have been recipient of several communications flagging trains strikes this weekend. Looks as though Southern are included in this and whilst not sure of the entire ramifications may have easily escaped the attention of others. Thought I'd post if of any help:
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Thought I'd post if of any help: Even driving is a pain for us mate, unless it’s changed I think the A249 is shut from Stockbury to Maidstone, so it’ll probably be tailed back trying to get on to the M2

A train on Saturday will be as rare as a Palace league victory at Tottenham.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Obviously they’ve shut our bit from Sittingbourne to Stockbury before because of the new fly over, but not the long stretch through to Maidstone so god knows what chaos it might bring, so I’m leaving early as well. I’ll check first though, because sometimes they cancel planned closures because they can’t do what they’ve got planned if we’ve had a lot of rain(apparently) it might be okay getting on the M2 anyway, but you know what it can be like round here

I’ll have to see tomorrow but if I’m still by McDonald’s in bobbing come 14:00 I’m going in for some rubbish food and heading home

Then straight on the M2 via the 228.
