I have to say, love them or hate them Real surely still encapsulate and are quite probably the OGs of one club dominating European and therefore World Football, and much of this is/was achieved through money. We all know about City and I've often opined how I would feel robbed of my club somewhat, were it Palace, as they are almost a state owned and funded corporate entity now as opposed to a 'local club for local people'.

All that said, there's enough drama in the narrative and, as a consequence of the above, some of the world's best talent will be on show tonight. I am thoroughly looking forward to it and expectant of a City win however 'tis football after all and ye never know!

I'll say 2-1 City as a prediction.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Incredibly Man C have only kept 4 'Clean sheets' in their last 15 PL games.
They dominate possession but have a proclivity to concede goals.
Real Madrid in the CL are a formidable force in the Bernabeu and I foresee them winning tonight.

Every time a player rolls around, the ref should stop his watch and add time on. The match might be over in a couple of days. Spain's National Coffers vs Black Gold - a true classic.

You're not kidding Willo and I think my overexposure to City drives me towards them in a prediction however your stance may be more wise than mine sir!

I simply cannot see Man C keeping a 'Clean sheet'.

I would not be surprised to see a 2-1 scoreline in favour of Real Madrid with Benzema and Rodrygo on the scoresheet.
I am certainly not expecting a Man C victory.

It would be good if this was an absolute slaughter, don't care which way, just to see the utter bafflement from one countries' media.

It's great when Pep gets all passive-agressive. My knowledge of big teams doesn't go as far as caring who is manager of Real. Had a feeling Ancelotti at some stage.

the arrogance of Los Blanco's makes me want them to lose....to whoever is playing them this week.

but Jesus, Benzema.......what a striker ! He'd be good enough to play in front of Milivojevic and still maybe score.

1-1 a good result for City.

Dominated possession even more so than I thought they would and fell almost inevitably behind to a lightening fast piece of quality from Real having failed to take any chances. Haaland anonymous and missing all match but step forward KdB, possibly the best midfielder I’ve seen in my lifetime alongside Zidane.

I always feel somewhat separated from the CL as not something I was or am ever likely to see with palace so can enjoy it as a spectacle. Will make some second leg and city with the slight advantage in the tie now surely.

the referee allowed Real to play UFC-Rugby which detracted from the game somewhat.

the second leg will be fascinating
