Decent i think, right footed left winger, ala, Wilf, only 22, 82 championship games under his belt, this season by far his best, no record of injuries, ticks the boxes, another Olise? for the other wing.

I have seen Jack Clarke play quite a few times. Mauricio Pochettino signed him for Tottenham from Leeds for an initial £10 Mill.Lee Johnson signed him on loan for Sunderland from Tottenham and he was signed on a permanent basis when Alex Neil was manager. Edited by Willo (09 Apr 2023 1.25pm)

Linked with interest again today, but apparently Sunderland won’t sell him this summer. Shame, because he’s a decent player and he’d definitely be welcome to add the options on the left hand side.

Why dont we go in for Jack Clarke, he is real quality, Sunderlands bad start may work to our advantage, if we go up to 25m i think we would get him, either him or Mike Tresor both are quality and affordable.

I’m no avid watcher of the Championship so have no first hand view on how good Clarke is, but we certainly need wingers, and looking at his profile he fits our recent recruitment strategy. I wonder whether we could leverage one of the Academy players on loan to smooth the deal. Could this land JRS a great loan and get us a talent? Hopefully we’ve got a few gems up our sleeve.

That was a real concern when Olise's release clause was triggered is that we don't spend the money.
