I do wonder who will want to come to Palace this summer following recent events.

Unless Parish has someone lined up who can take over at the season's end, I see us sleepwalking into yet another unsatisfactory pre-season with a late arriving new manager at the helm struggling to play catch-up before the new season starts.

I am afraid that is again highly likely.
There cannot even be any proper planning for next season yet as due to being run by amateurs we are in a league position where we could easily go down.
If we do go, the sad thing is it should have been completely avoidable.
The equally sad thing is how long it has taken so many to see how hapless Parish is !

With respect, I think you are being far too negative. I think we are all demoralised by the dramatic fall in fortunes of the club. If we survive in the PL, a lot of players hungry for a chance of life in the PL will want to come to Palace. Big money players on big contracts go to top 6 sides

If we survive, and possibly even if we don't, I expect a significant loosening of the purse strings in this summer's window. Nothing steels an investor's mind like looking over the precipice, and this season's experience may teach Harris and Blitzer how easy it is to lose 50% of the value of your investment in a football team overnight if you try to cut corners.

The squad is in dire need of extensive repair as a result of years of neglect and under-investment; the owners aren't fools and they'll realise if we stay up that they've dodged a bullet this year. I doubt they'll let it happen again.

Ny guess is that we're in for a squad overhaul and the naysayers may be surprised at the extent of funds made available this summer. I suspect the 2023/24 version of Palace won't look much like its immediate predecessor. I would also imagine that the recruitment of a new manager is already underway. With Roy clearly in the job for only eleven games, there's absolutely no reason to delay and with the summer window critical, I'd imagine the board would want a new manager in place immediately after the season ended.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

And I mentioned 'big money players on big contracts going to top 6 clubs', exactly where ??
And as for 'lots of hungry players up for a chance of life in the PL with Palace', I take it you have missed the complete reluctance of Parish to put his hand in his pocket to properly back the manager this season and then sack him !!
My point, which is not difficult to deduce, was that due to the fact that we are now in a proper relegation battle and not comfortably in mid-table like sides with which we should be at least be on a par, Fulham, Brentford for example, we cannot plan ahead !!
I take it you are one of the recent, new premiership fans who think Parish is wonderful etc.

I'm positive that if we go down, plenty of our youngsters are good enough for the Championship and we'll have quite a large, young, decent squad. I believe we could compete for promotion.
If we stay up, I reckon we need at least five players, possibly more. I'm thinking 100 mil - which we're not going to get without new ownership. However, why the f*** we didn't use our loan slots is anyone's guess. Most likely complete ineptitude. You can have several loans so that could mitigate next season's requirements somewhat. Still going to need a few players.
And what are we going to get for what we need to get rid of? Not much by the looks of them. We'll be lucky to get any fee for most.

I suspect such forward planning would contain two lists, one for the PL and another for the Championship with possible overlaps.

I've noticed that there are a lot of transfer rumours about Guehi. With our track record, he'll leave and we'll believe we're fine without bothering to replace him.

The essential is a manager. Roy will finish at the end of the season. Getting his replacement sooner (June / July) rather than later (August / September) will depend on whether we win three of the next four or not.
