Please, I need something, anything , positive about our current situation. Can someone please name any team that have stayed up having sacked their manager with only 11 games to go.

For me this has been a crap knee-jerk reaction far more risky than staying with the current management.

I get the feeling Pearson got 4 wins out of the last five games, may have even been five wins, when Leicester looked gone.

Surely we must be able to winkle out a couple of wins and 3 or 4 draws from the remaining 11 games against teams below us. That would give us 36/37 points with a better goal difference worth another point we should just about squeak home.

The last few games have had doom and gloom written all over them, for the first time I am feeling a small sense of optimism - but its all going to come down to the character, confidence and commitment of the players. Whoever is in charge for the rest of the season has to bring out that heroic feeling and make the best team selection with limited options and be tactically savvy about exploiting the oppositions weaknesses and leveraging our frugal strengths - something that has been missing for quite a time now.

I would expect the team to get over the line without a manager , If they cant manage 15 points from the remaining fixtures without someone holding their hand they should take another sport

Im pretty sure that us and forest green are the only league teams that haven’t won a game since Xmas. So no, nothing is more risky than staying with the , 3 games zero shots on target, current (now X , thank f*ck) manager

Yep. Point them at the opposition goal and we should be able to get 12 points with minimal coaching. Hopefully.

The following players would comfortably belong in any mid table squad, some higher:

Guaita
Zaha
Guehi
Anderson
Eze
Olise

Mitchell and Doucoure are also decent players.

We stayed up with a far less talented team under Pulis. 3 wins and 3 drawsfrom now on in should see us stay up.

I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry.

I truly feel we will have enough. I just hope this is the kick up the backside the whole squad needs, as too many have been getting away with it for too long.

Hard work, passion, hard pressing and some self belief is all that needs to be injected and watch us fly again.

As supporters we need to keep up a great atmosphere for the reast of the season as this will really help the team.

I predict 15th place as there are some seriously poor teams this year which I think is what will see us finish this high!!

I just hope the board then finally realises what really needs to be done in the pre season.

Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

So as I thought, the only team we can remember who escaped relegation sacking the manager when we did was Leicester and that c**t Pearson. I'm just gonna hope we recruit another C**t for the rest of the season. Clearly managers like Hodgson do not cut it in these circumstances.

1. Millwall away
2. Blackpool away...for the weekend
3. Luton away...for the weekend. You know you want to. Maybe not.
4. Beating Watford twice
5. Seeing Harris' and Blitzers' faces when they discover the cost of relegation and the cratering value of their investment. There's nothing like the smell of schadenfreude in the morning.
6. Getting rid of Edouard and Mateta because they think they're too good for the Championship. If that doesn't make you smile, nothing will.
7. Away trips to Plymouth and Sunderland. You'll see the whole damn country next season.
8. 46 weeks, not a glory-hunter or plastic in sight.
9. Yep, eight more Palace matches. Count 'em.
10. All things being equal, the chance to experience something new next season. Winning games and scoring goals.

Feel better now?
