Two home games with 7 goals to 0 - it’s not the score line it’s the effort or lack of !

Yesterday I heard so many supporters abusing Pat & they were telling him to quit or F Off - pure madness from some supporters.

1) it’s his first season he will make mistakes
2) who would replace him seriously look around you
3) he is no doubt trying different formations / positions as he has a lack of depth in skills - like serious attacking Mid - like a consistent goal shooter & scorer
4) effort from some players you can see is lacking - why ? Tired, not in it,lack of experience, mentally not strong ?
5) desire has to come from a leader on the pitch - we don’t have 1 apart from Wilf who gets fired up - yesterday no one got fired up
6) school boy errors - 1st goal Harry build two shops waiting on the cross he had no one marking him x3 defenders looking at the ball not the players

So please don’t blame the Manager just yet he needs another season ,more depth from investment in squad, more heart from his current players -
Whilst I hear certain players are played out of their position fine - but some need to adapt at £150k per week or go to Forest Green instead if they don’t like it !

I only hope when the players watch the replay of Fulham & Spurs they each have a mirror when they look to blame not just the Manager

The manager gets the blame for poor performances - particularly repeated home ones. That's life. However, there are not massive calls for his head, just marginal rumblings. Rumblings will grow to a cacophony if things continue like this. There are certainly questions.
I don't personally blame him - our first team is pretty average and our overall squad is crap.

Sometimes you look at a squad and think a manager should be getting more out of it, but when you look at ours it is hard to make that case. If we got rid of Vieira what kind of manager would want the job? Only another inexperienced one looking to make the step up I imagine.

I really like our set-up and if the club back Vieira with the players he says he needs we should go into the second half of the season full of confidence. If we don't then my finger will be pointing at the board not the manager.

It is no abuse of the manager, but he has to take it on the chin when his men perform like this.
And for his, put it mildly, strange first 11. Like continue with J. Schlupp along C. Doucoure in midfield, when we all can see that it's not working. Simply because the former Leicester player ain't up to PL level.
Vs. Spurs in 2nd half we were overrun in midfield. And what happens? Vieira removes a midfielder for an attacker.
We all know that our new signing (Doucoure)is one heck of a player, but don't expect him to boss the midfield with no aid. In game after game...
The way our two last losses have panned out, tells me we are far from safe even if Southampton probably already has subscribed for Championship status next season. But two more teams follow the Saints....

I must admit, whist I find some of the team selections and subs a little odd. We need to remember that Pat works with these players every day. If Jeff is better than Hughes, he's probably right.

In reality we've barely got a midfield, 2 bang average strikers, old fullbacks, some promising but v inexperienced attackers, and a talisman who blows cold more than hot.

He needs to learn to change things when they don't work and to react early and not when it is too late.
Bring the centre forward on when we are 0-4 down is pointless - should have started with one or changed it at 0-2.
His team selections are baffling to me but what do I know.
He won't be given long in my opinion - sad , but a sign of the times and the need to stay up.

Rome wasn’t built in a day.

A few setbacks along the way are inevitable, but, bit by bit, his vision is coming to fruition.

PV = Patrick Vieira = Patience is a Virtue.

Mr Parish seemed relaxed in the interview a couple of weeks ago when he mentioned that we have a good points total (Then 19) or words to that effect. To me he gave the impression that he felt we would not be in any relegation trouble this year and that 2 'Loan' signings were the likely outcome of any incomings in the transfer window.

The fullbacks are the same age or younger, than Trippier and Walker, who played for England in the WC. Age is nothing to do with ability.

PV has done a superb job thus far. A few problems at present and I for one hope it settles quickly. We need new players of quality to enhance the quality ones we have, goal getter is a must but as we all know this is not easy. Midfield (Connor G) back would help and for me a good RB also is a must.

Parish is complacent beyond belief and wonder if he will still be so smug when we inevitably lose our next three games !!
