We have now played all 9 of the teams below us in the table, collecting 19 points (6 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats).

We have played just 7 of the 10 teams above us and mustered a measly 3 points (3 draws and 4 defeats - a far cry from last season when we managed wins against both Manchester clubs and the two North London teams).

It doesn't bode well for our next 7 PL fixtures (all against teams currently above us). Much will depend on how PV decides to set us up. A return to 4-3-3 would be disastrous in my view. If we go with the formation used yesterday (with one of Ayew, Edouard or Mateta as the striker) then we may pick up a few points and even a surprise win or two.

I'll go for a 1-1 draw for the Spurs game provided PV does set us up as he did yesterday, i.e. 4-2-3-1.

As comforting as the win was, Bournmouth were piss poor in all areas of the pitch. We will not get as much room and opportunity to show our quality v spurs. I would love to shut some of my spurs supporting mates up but I fear it will be a tough ask.
1-1 would be a great result.

I think we may have a chance of a draw if the manager realises the assets of Jeffrey Schlupp are mitigated by his flaws.

Unfortunately PV persists in playing him when it would make more sense to utilise the versatility of Will Hughes.

It seems Schlupp is 'the man' whereas Hughes is not trusted.

To get a result we should expose their known first half weakness and attack from the start.

If we only had a midfield 'maestro' capable of holding the ball I would be more optimistic.

Our next 5 games are Spuds, Chelsea, Newcastle, United and BHA - not easy by any stretch.

Looking at all 5 is daunting however each game in isolation I would not see as a futile venture.

I don’t expect much, but something should be achievable. I think it will tell us a lot about where we are as a team.

Spuds play with less of an initiative these days, hence their awful first 45s. I’m gonna say 1-1 which for me would signify a decent start to a difficult run of fixtures. I expect us to get only a couple of points max out of this run but 5+ points would be fantastic and promising.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Can’t see beyond a Spurs win, but would like to be proved wrong. Watching Kane backing into defenders winning free kicks, when really the ref should be waving play on fills me with dread on Wednesday night!

Is anyone is watching them vs Villa today it should inspire some confidence.

I think the correct articulation would be to say: They look f**king awful.

The football analyst that resides within me wants to say ‘Tottenham do look awful, could see a Conte exit soon, no identifiable tactics, look bereft of morale and I can’t see them improving anytime soon.’

The Palace fan says: ‘After such an awful showing they’ll be keen to bounce back and will come out firing and beat us 0-19 at Selhurst now’.

0-19 seems a little too pessimistic to me but I'm afraid today's result hasn't necessarily increased our chances.

Spurs didn't look too great today against Villa. Abit like us, no midfield presence really.
