Seen a few repeats of the Young Ones, cool, cutting edge and surreal back then, unbearable purile pretentious tripe now. MASH was once the coolest thing on TV, I now find it more irritating than Ant & Dec. Same applies to Michael Parkinson interviews, I put the Goodies down to my age at the time, adults probably hated it. Any more?

Pretty much my entire catalogue of ex girlfriends. To be fair, 'sh1te' is far too strong a word for it.....Perhaps dodgy is a better one.

Ulster Unionists once had a great majority in N.I , RiP The leadership of the Royal family, was great. Today ? Lets wait and see..... The financial gains from property investment, once great. Shyte now. The great institution of Marriage & the Nuclear family. RiP The working-class hero. Edited by PalazioVecchio (21 Dec 2022 3.28pm)

i would like to agree with you. But at least one or two of mine were never 'great' in the first place. Pleasing on the eye, maybe. But Great ? Great Expectations. the Great War. about as peace-loving & gentle as Catherine the Great.

Harry Kane? On a more serious note, TV panel shows/sitcoms/comedians in general. Seems to me that meeting diversity quotas and aligning to woke zeitgeists for seal like clapping from individuals lacking life experience and/or intelligence is now mistaken for comedy. Mock the week died with Frankie Boyle but has gone downhill rapidly for one example. Edited by Nicholas91 (21 Dec 2022 6.05pm)
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Youngs, once a tremendous brew. I have to say that struck a chord with me ^^^^ When the old geezer was alive, Youngs were always rooted in Wandsworth. As soon a he kicked the bucket they uprooted the firm to a place where the water was totally different and everything just tasted 'bitter', if you'll excuse the pun
I disengage, I turn the page. |
