Some supermarkets are taking the absolute piss with these.
Morrisons 60p for a paper bag; now that is a liberty bearing in mind it’s biodegradable in no time at all.
Asda still 30p for a plastic bag or 60p for a heavy duty reusable one including bottle bags which are very handy at Christmas.
Best one is CO OP, green compost type carrier bags, only 10p.
I buy my food waste bags from there now. It is these carrier bags at 10p each and bigger and stronger than any in a roll you get in the shops.
Get ten at a time whenever I’m passing a CO OP.
Do yourselves a favour and buy these from them; they deserve the sales for not taking the absolute rise like Morrisons.

Not sure if the reason for charging in the UK, but over here it's under the guise of 'Saving the Planet' when in affect it's a tax on the poor & working class.
Now for the record I have no issue about rinsing out my old tuna cans etc but the bag charge is a cowardly bit of political shenanigans where WE are expected to pay.
If politicians had any balls they should be turning round to the Supermarkets & saying for example From the 1st of December 2022 you have 18 months to produce & make a completely throwaway or multi use bag at no cost to the customer.

My only suggestion is to take other shops bags to the shops you're using. Why pay them to do their advertising for them?

My local supermache has stopped providing plastic bags at all. Did I miss this 'shift' somehow or is it just yet another case of 'Kent is a sh!thole' being of adequate explanation?
