Agreed. You have to watch the wording. Although the Conservative Party have suspended him, he's still collecting his MP's wages (plus generous expenses), and not doing the job he's employed to do.

However, this is a huge ratings boost already for the broadcasting company.

His party has effectively made him an independent and he is political dead man walking till he gets washed away at the next general election.

Does he truly believe he can become a TV personality with this? You never know in the age of monkey tennis; but he does not have the charm of say Michael Portillo to present well in front of camera.

Perhaps he is considering his memoires? Given the Tories have dumped him, he will have nothing to lose with a complete kiss + tell. There are a hell of a lot of buried bodies from the last 6 years of political turmoil. I suspect he knows where most of them are.
