I think rejoining the EU would only start to be a real possibility once Starmer is in and feels he can maintain power without the Red Wall seats who would lose their s*** quite rightly if rejoin becomes a possibility.

I fear that the police will be allowed to continue in wasting time on twitter spats instead of crime.

I expect a significant general increase in legal immigration which would not be based on the country's needs.

Illegal immigration will get even worse with the numbers continuing to increase and the cost becoming even more unbearable.

I suspect a mass amnesty for illegals is likely.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Outside of the rejoining the EU, pretty much the same. If anything, they might even clamp down on immigration and push for the police to actually police.

The entire rejoin strategy will be based around a narrative of recreating stability. They won't rock the boat.

Lets not forget that Starmer threw Corbyn out of Labour. There are left wing candidates being rejected for seats all over the country by Labour.

Both the Tories and Labour lean far more towards a 'populist' vote now as opposed to an ideological one, hence the conservation of very little and the likes of the removal of Corbyn. They really are two sides of the same coin now, it's just about which individuals have the most appeal nowadays... or are the lesser of two evils.

Find it hard to endorse either candidate or party in the current climate. Soon as somebody who seems half competent arises I will give my vote. The only other consideration is to stop anyone you perceive to be an unmitigated disaster should they get into power.

Labour will be stronger on crime and immigration, tough on crime ad all that.

This is all very subjective.

But we are where we are after 12 years of tory mis-rule.

Labour will not be taking us back into the EU, there is no appetite in the EU for us to re-join, we have a lot to do to restore good relations we can certainly limit the brexit damage particularly over trade.

But re=joining that's unfortunately not a realistic option.

The Left are wiped out. You had a Left Wing leader. He led Labour to 40% of the vote in 2017. Starmer then f***ed them up with his 'second referendum' policy and they lost although they still got a big % of the vote than Labour in 2015.

Starmer becomes leader and gets rid of Corbyn. If that ain't destroying the Left, then I am not sure what is.

Look into the current Labour selection process for Kensington. Tells you all you need to know about how much sway the Left have in Labour now.

Of course, you define yourself by hating the Tories and will understandably be cheering on their demise but to think Starmer is anything else other than the death knell for the British Left is delusional.
