Didn't reeeeeally see it coming but what do you expect at Chelsea?

Just for a reminder in case anybody needed it, Chelsea have spent about/almost 10x what we did in Summer transfer market.

And of course, who next? Who dares?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Their Net Spend in the Summer Market was circa £200 Mill.

The season before last he took over as manager after 19 games with Chelsea in 9th place and steered them to 3rd in the table. That season they reached the FA Cup final and won the Champions League defeating Man C.

Last season they reached the FA Cup final yet again and ended the season in 3rd place.

Bit of a one trick pony though Willo. Guilty of trying to fit the players to his favoured system even when he didn’t have the right players. Almost every manager in the PL would love to have Lukaku in their team and would play to his strength but not Teuchel! And trying to change the way Gallagher plays was definitely p**sing into the wind! Will Chelski go for Poch now or maybe give Potter a shot at the big time? Can’t see them top 4 this season.

Sooner than I expected I have to say. I thought he may last a couple of months longer, but there haven't been good vibes coming out of that club despite the scattergun mega spending ( or maybe because of it ).

Potter is on their radar but I think he would be mad to take that job.

I thought this was one of those joke posts until I checked Sky Sports. Was he really that bad? Personally, I reckon he did well to manage through the Roman sanctioning etc. All this does is demonstrate how fragile the job of a PL football manager is, despite trying to buy success.

The big question, of course is, what will Conor do now? Be interesting to see who will be his new boss and whether he is in or out of favour.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

His win percentage at Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Chelsea is between 60% and around 75%.
His teams have reached the CL twice and he was a CL winner whilst at Chelsea.

Clean sheets - 49
Major trophies - 3

* Includes 3 wins and 2 defeats on penalties

True, but his win % this season was 44%, he achieved a high of 67% in 20/21 season

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Didn't the new Owner Todd Boehly (or however its spelt) appoint himself as interim sporting director ?

Maybe they clashed over the direction of the club & how to get there & the new owner decided to bring his own people in.

Surely in terms of replacement(s) they would go for someone with CL experience ?

If he is Sporting Director I can’t see many top managers accepting it. Potter favourite but not sure he will go there. This could be good news for Gallagher but not us, as any new manager may actually play him in his best position

Indeed he did back in June.

Chelsea to approach Brighton over getting Potter.

Can't see him turning that down

That's Brighton's beloved Potter all out of the window.

Good job they have points on the board already.
