Shocking, no idea what happened here, but you can expect a few more explosions as I heard on the radio lots of people are changing their meters , electric and gas, by passing the mains in the coming energy crisis!

Oh, and expect more house fires, lots are burning wood and probably anything they can get their hands on in the chimney- expect lots of fires when the weather changes!

Some folk are also neglecting to have their boilers serviced in an effort to save money.

It all sounds a bit Third World. What on earth is happening?

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

It doesn't sound great as if you read the article it says people reported smelling gas two weeks ago. I don't want to blame anyone until more is known.
Shame and thoughts with the families.

Where did you hear that? I'd like to listen to the relevant article, assuming it's available on the internet. Just the radio station and which 'show' it was on will be fine, thanks.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Tbh you can buy gas meters. Two nuts and it’s done. It’s easy to jump the electric meter. The problem with both is it’s highly illegal and it needs testing correctly if you do want to break the law.

Maybe taking VAT off servicing a boiler may be a start

I will give you the benefit of the doubt but sincerely hope you are not making a political issue out of this CP
