Hey dudes! Some triviality while we're all eagerly awaiting our first 22-23 EPL kick-off. What's YOUR prediction of our starting 11 and subs against Arse-in-all? Not your wish-list, but you can put your wish-list up as well.
Clyne Anderson Guehi Mitchell Eze Miloveyovich Schlupp Ayew Mateta Zaha Subs: Johnstone, Ward, Hughes, Eduoard, Benteke Clyne Anderson Guehi Mitchell Eze Doucoure Schlupp Eduoard Mateta Zaha Subs: Johnstone, Ward, Hughes, Ayew, Benteke Too difficult opposition to risk newbies IMHO - except for Doucoure - he can't be worse than you know who! Be kind if you disagree and show this to be utter silliness (please) :-)

For me, I expect PV to go with Saturday's starting XI so Ward-Andersen-Guehi-Mitchell Eze-Doucoure-Schlupp Ayew-Edouard-Zaha He'll be able to name 9 subs, I believe, so: Which ones he'll use is anyone's guess, but I would expect Milivojevic, Mateta and Ebiowei to feature at some stage and possibly Hughes and Clyne. Just my opinion but as the OP said just a bit of triviality.

Not sure if Mateta's done anything wrong to lose his place to Edouard despite Edouard's brace recently. I struggled with who PV would pick and I think he'll keep faith with Mateta who's earned his place.

Some added comments: Someone mentioned somewhere on hol that Arse defenders don't take to bullying too well. If Mateta and Edouard are both in form then maybe play both? Those two plus Zaha up front would be quite intimidating I think. Plus they both look keen to beat each other for the centre-forward poz. So my 2nd wish team might look like this: Ward Anderson Guehi Mitchell Eze Doucoure Schlupp Edouard Mateta Zaha Subs: (I like Doombear's Whitworth), + Tomkins, Richards, Milo, Hughes, Ebiowei, Ayew, Plange, Benteke.

Vieira will pick the same XI as he did last Saturday I should think. Richards has just got here, Olise will need a bit more time to get match fit, and Edouard probably did enough to keep Mateta out, so I'd be surprised if significant changes were made. Personally I'd like: ----------Guaita

As its the arse I expect us to play a defensive team at first. ----------Guaita Schulpp and Ayew to cover the full backs and wilf to drop back into midfield when we lose the ball. With 5 subs we will have a lot of options to switch formation during the game.

Personally I'd like: ----------Guaita I think this team is close. Two defensive midfielders, Doucoure and Hughes ( I think Macca is still out?) I'd have Mateta in there as he is more of a nuisance and I think Odsonne's head drops when he not getting his way.
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |

VG Clyne Andersen Guehi Mitchell Doucoure Schlupp Eze Ayew Mateta Zaha Subs (if 9 is right): Butland or Johnstone or Whitworth (in that order) Agree we should really harass them. Few teams deserve the slur "they don't like it up them" quite as much as the Arse.
