We usually pull out a loan signing or two around the end of the transfer window. Anyone got any suggestions for good options for Palace who might realistically be available on loan and who we might, realistically be able to attract?

I don't know much about him or whether he would be a good signing or not but Garner is reportedly interested in going out on loan for more game time. I've seen a lot of people talk about another midfielder. wonder if he could fit the bill?

I just wonder if we might go for Gilmour. I know he didn’t have a good time at Norwich but that speaks more about them. When I have seen him play for Chelsea I have been impressed. Funnily enough I thought we might have gone for him ahead of Gallagher, shows what I know!

I would like to see Borja Mayoral from Real Madrid, he wont get in their first eleven, did well at Roma, but Mourinho like a big man up front so Abraham replaced him.

Id be happy to go ahead and buy him. Might not be the same level as CG, but he's a decent player who'd do well for us.

I'm going to guess Issa Kaboré on loan. As an attacking RB he'd be much better than AWB or our existing options. Also think we need a midfielder who's a monster in the air and has a few goals in him, no idea who that is though

I'd happily have Billy Gilmour in. Crap at Norwich but who wasn't, Gallagher didn't pull up any trees at West Brom and we made it work so, with McArthur's injury issues, why not?

Otherwise I don't really see a need for a loan unless someone were to leave. Potentially a forward if Benteke goes at the last minute?

Otherwise, Pape Sarr (19 year old, CM, on loan at Metz last year) is meant to be alright if they're after him getting more regular games than he would at Spurs. Albeit they'd probably try and give us Winks on loan to get his value up.

I'm really on the fence about Gilmour. Twelve months ago, I'd have rated him Gallagher's equal; I'd have been equally happy to sign either him or Connor. But I thought Gilmour was shocking at Norwich, regardless of whether the team was uniformly poor or not. Connor twelve months earlier at West Brom, a team roughly equivalent to Norwich last year, may not have pulled up trees but he was much, much better at WBA than Gilmour ever was at Norwich. I could probably be persuaded Gilmour is a risk just about worth taking but for me, he didn't tread water last season. He took a major step backwards.

Bring RLC back with the option to buy in 12 months time. He'd be great in our current system. I might be worried about his injury record, but he did manage 40 appearances across all competitions last season and 30 for Fulham the season before.

What we really need is a big CF who is good at jumping for defending corners

Difficult to get excited about loanees. Gallagher was exceptional. Batshuayi in his first iteration (disappointing in his second). Any other successes spring to mind?
