watched the qf v Spain - a Spanish player was accused by the commentators of fouling one of our defenders - incorrect, the defender in question put in a great tackle knowing that if she put her foot in the attacking players legs and full bodyweight would collide with her shin - but she put her foot in, won the ball and was writhing in agony for two minutes b4 returning to the action - and she did it for England ... respeck! not to mention two excellent goals to overturn a spanish side who played great possession football. Whatever the ladies game may be lacking in it's not the physical side. I'll try and find the link if I get any replies.

Starting to prefer them to the pansy men's team.

its very interesting.

there seems to be less diving and less sliding-tackles. It's almost like watching a different game.

that back-heel goal was sublime. And i am wondering why we see so few of those in the men's game ?

they are fast but not over 5 yards so the closing down much less intense than the men's game, women don't seem to have that early explosion of speed that the men do - the upside of that is the game is stretched, the pitch is longer, and it allows for running on to through balls more - it's like tennis, sometimes the men's game can be all serve and power while the women's game has more rallies and finesse. The lionesses have been outclassed early doors in both the last two games, but work it out and improve during the game. Once they stopped passing short and whacked in cross balls and diagonals the Swedes couldn't cope. And the coach seems an upgrade on Phil Neville.

I actually did notice this on the pitch. Maybe that case with the African lady player didn’t bring the positivity it intended. Or young black girls just aren’t they interested in playing football. Whatever, I expect half the team to be black within months.

Some of the commentary and punditry was like a girls' night out. However, I enjoyed what ended up as a one-sided game and am looking forward to the final - which I will make my son watch. I already watch the women's cricket since the world cup (not all of it by any means). I watch England women's rugby - who are frankly savage, so I guess I'm a cool hipster dude. Just going to get my oat milk latte and check on my chilli plants.
I think my main reason for watching England in women's sports is that it's successful and it's accessable - i.e I don't have to pay or stream. Perhaps there is something the men's game could think about.

Very impressed by our football especially prior to the third goal.

Accuracy patience movement control and not surrendering the ball, I thought PV you should have a clip of this and show it to our lads.

Sweden looked such a force but ended up being outplayed, their goalie had a bit of a shocker.

And the Lionesses are just a really good team no outstanding players.

We could win this on Sunday.

They probably can, but only if they're any good at it. It's not essential for black folk to be involved in every aspect of sport, media or any other activity.

So far as last night's match was concerned, it was one of the best women's games I've seen. Their standard has improved enormously, even though, as others have said, it's very different from the men's game.

Well done girls and good luck in the final.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I’m very impressed with the fact there’s no rolling around the pitch pretending to be injured, if they get fouled they just get up and get on with it, and there’s no surrounding the referee. For that reason you don’t see hardly any time being added on because there’s hardly any stoppages. The mens game could learn a lot from them.

I will have the "pleasure" of the company of Milly Bright's uncle on Saturday for 4 hours. think I will purposely hit my golf ball to the other side of the fairway.

He was quite boring before this run by the lionesses, now, just unbearable.

Cant wait until this Euros blows over so we can go back to great stories of playing at Caledonian Thistle!
