Hi dudes! I'm very excited about the business CPFC have been achieving this off season and allowing youngsters to try their stuff. The holes in the team I believed needed filling have been done! Midfield needed upgrading badly and with Doucoure it's been done. We would have done a lot better last season IMHO if this position was stronger.

So, given our much improved list, what's YOUR dream 11 for the 22-23 season?

Here's mine (for now):

Guaita
Clyne Andersen Guehi Mitchell
Ebiowi Doucoure Eze
Olise Mateta Zaha

Others: Johnstone, Ferguson, Richards, Tomkins, Kelly, Obrien, Adaramola, Ward, Macarthur, Schlupp, Hughes, Milo, Reidewald, Boateng, Rak-saki, Plange, Eduoard, Benteke, Ayew, Banks, Street, Akinwale, Quick, Rodney, Siddik, (the new Irish dude), Matthews,
Guaita/Johnstone/Butland/Martin/

Your thoughts? Your team:

Ebiowei isn't a midfielder. His 20 minutes or so against Leeds yesterday saw him give away unnecessary fouls in our half. His defensive work leaves much to be desired. IMO, he is more a sub for Olise when needed. I see Hughes as the third midfielder alongside Doucoure and Eze until McArthur is match fit again, when I think McArthur and Hughes will share the game time as the 3rd midfielder.

I think Johnstone may well replace Guaita at some point before January.

BTW Kelly has departed. The club's list of teams is still that of last year. No doubt it will be updated once the club has submitted their first team squad.

If when McArthur is fit Ebieowi will not be picked in front of him.

And me, i don't know if Richards will come in at RB, don't know enough about him

Schlupp played awesomely against QPR:

So, if Ebiowi isn't a midfielder then perhaps

Guaita
Clyne Andersen Guehi Mitchell
Eze Doucoure Schlupp
Olise Mateta Zaha

Is it me or does Hughes do too little? Very quick feet but not very solid. I would like to see more muscle on him. Clyne keeps doing enough to keep his spot imho. If Doucoure doesn't set things alight as expected then Macarthur.

The best 11 almost certainly isn't the best 11 players.

We need legs, power and goals in midfield...so...

Guaita

Richards Guehi Anderson Mitchell

McArthur Doucoure Eze

Olise Mateta Zaha

Schlupp, Benteke, Edouard, Clyne, Ward, Tomkins, Hughes, Ebiowei, Ayew, Butland, Plange

But I've missed someone obvious

Got a funny feeling Plange is going to be special.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

I would go more with sprites team but with Johnson in goal and Clyne as Ferguson will not be fit for a full game if ever

Yeh Fergie looked poor in the friendly against QPR and almost gaffed them an easy goal. To be expected given his lack of match-time. I wouldn't expect to see him for several matches if at all either - good call.
