Talk about having two contradictory ideologies in the one House. On the one hand, there is a long history of violence here. And these do not make good bedfellows. On the other hand, the Left seems to like both. Certainly our Mayor, Sadiq Khan, seems to embody an accommodation to assimilate & empower both identities into a new British/Global future. What does the future look like with these two on the horizon ? How does a moderate mainstream type make sense of all of this ? To what extent will there ever be peace and harmony between these competing realms ? other observations ? The link below shows what happens when things go wrong. So how do we get things to go right ? They will need to go right, somehow. Because neither will be going away. Discuss

The shooter will be found to be mentally ill and the entire incident not be discussed ever again.

It's not difficult to predict. And it will not even be mentioned by anybody come Tuesday. Probably a few candles lit, suspect old John Lennon might get an outing or two, maybe even some handholding.
But as such, merely whatever the Norwegian equivalent of fish & chip paper in less than 72 hours and gone from our own news in 48. Edited by Matov (25 Jun 2022 5.05pm)

Spot on matov. He had a history of mental illness. To be honest, they just as frequently use 'mentally ill' or 'he seemed like a decent bloke' when it's a far right type acting. Though regardless of ideology by definition anyone acting in such a way likely is mentally ill. But at the same time millions of people are mentally ill but dont channel it isn't hatred and murder, so regardless or the ideology, they should still never see the light of day when terrorising the population or a community.

The whole mental illness thing is essentially cope. The prison system is hardly filled with well adjusted role models in life and mental illness lies behind many a cell warmer. So calling any murderer mentally ill could have some justification, though things get complicated when say your job is the business of killing such as an active soldier....which is probably why it's even only a percentage of soldiers who willingly kill close up. Whatever the target demographic is, there will always be a percent...thankfully small of ill or ideologically charged people who think that murder is a solution. Just how small that percent is will be influenced by just how far apart an ideology is, religious or not, from the culture that surrounds it. Obviously some groups are going to be targeted more than others because of that and our mainstream culture lies to itself and its population by hiding that fact in warm words and omissions of reality.

So if that’s the case why was the bloke jailed for 8.5 years just last month for being far right and not given help, and I’ve never seen this mentioned where TR is up before the beak.
