No doubt we will be targeting a RB in the transfer window. From what I've seen, this lad is pretty solid. With a reported value o 8mil he is a lot cheaper than AWB and has something to prove. He fits in with our policy of young hungry players as well. Tottenham and Arsenal have shown interest so worth a punt to get in there first. Thoughts?

Has looked great every time I've watched him. Would suit our style of play perfectly. Strangely, he plays for Forest but is on loan from Boro - Which begs the question, who did Boro have at right back that they thought was better than him?

They didn't think they had a RB better than him but he has an attitude on him which him which clashed with Warnock whilst he was manager.

Will we though ?

How big a priority is that compared to other areas ?

I think the Clyne/Ward combo has another season in it.

That's not to say if the right player came along at the right price we wouldn't be interested. Spence has looked decent at Forest and I'm surprised at the £8m you have quoted as I've seen much higher numbers bandied about.

Midfield is crying out for an upgrade before we spend anything on a RB. Also we will be short of at least one CB, especially if Kouyate goes (I don't see Tomkins being an option with his injury record over the last couple of years - and that assumes he's retained, which I doubt).

Finally, Spence will cost at least double the quoted £8m.

He's fantastic but on the radar of much bigger clubs than us. Would be a coup at 20m but we won't get him. I wouldn't mind another season of Clyne in honesty, the midfield is more important this summer.
