Safe to say that the Utd game wont go like last nights went. United don't have that in their locker, have a load of players out of contract and wont want the win anywhere near as much as Everton did. I suspect we might see Luka and Benteke again....hopefully to just let the fans say bye

Just hope we get a decent game and a good end to the season. What was a decent run of games and some nice end of season optimism fell flat on its arse on Thursday night. One thing is for certain tomorrow - PV is going to get one hell of a reception from the crowd.

I really hope we finish on a high note, and i would like to see Rak-Sakyi start as olise is injured, he deserves it, and no players who the hierarchy know who aren't going to be here next season not involved, from the start
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

If we win on Sunday & other results go our way (i.e Brighton / Brentford / Newcastle / AV) we could pocket up to another £3.5 million in League revenue by virtue of climbing up 3 league places I would be the first to admit its unlikely that all of those teams would lose but it is a possibility- Now if you were the owners of the club would you want to put out your strongest side available to have the best chance of winning the game ?

They will have had a pretty miserable journey home Thursday night. I suspect some of the less hardened players like Mitchell would have been intimidated and quite shocked by the pitch invasions and the disgusting behaviour of some of their, so called, fans. Patrick will be feeling it too, especially reading and seeing how that dreadful situation has centered on him. Back page headlines like 'VIEIRA KICKS FAN' will be tough to deal with mentally, anticipating what may result. For the manager to motivate those players to put on a show just 3 days after the events of Thursday is one hell of a task. Like Lanzo, I would like to see Rak-Sakyi, and maybe Aderamola, start and I think he'll want to make more changes, but please not Luka or Benteke. Sunday will be difficult because Man U have had around two weeks to prepare and we have been beaten up 3 nights ago. As much as I want us to beat Man U I do not see us winning this one. A tricky few weeks of ugly publicity ahead I reckon while all this plays out. As someone else wrote on here, this is not the best way to start preparations for next season.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Unfortunately the Thursday night debacle will have had a major downer effect on the players and management. I think their heads and hearts won’t be in it although they will go through the motions. Manure on the other hand will be desperate to show they are not all bad in front of their new management. Regrettably I can only see a loss. COYP

If it were me however, and I do not feel ridiculous in suggesting it could be a possibility, I'd be motivated by both a hatred of United and a desperate need to neutralise any emotion left over from Thursday. They are grown men after all, and being rustled out of that Scouse scum hole after their antics and losing in such a demeaning way I would like to think there should be some testosterone fueled fire in the belly for one last game.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

According to EPL Injury Table . . . [Link] We will be without Guehi & Olise, Jmac 'could' be on bench.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I'd agree with you..... suspect they will be looking to turn out a good performance in front of the home fans to take away the bitter taste of that defeat and all that followed.

Let's hope the less self-disciplined amongst us don't invade the pitch should we score a 90th minute winner, despite the delicious urge to slap Ronaldo's smug boat.
