Makes sense for all involved. He's clearly not in PV's plans...and has too much quality to be sitting on the bench.

Hasn't been at his best the past season or two, but still a quality player and a warrior for us in his first season.

Wish him all the best.

Good luck Luka - Was great for us early on and deserves to play regularly.

Been off the boil for some time now, if true & 3.5m is on the table it's a result for sure

Yes, get rid and no new contracts for Ayew, Tomkins, Kelly, McArthur Kouyate and Jach, and try to find someone to take Benteke, if all that happens a saving of 420k a week, plenty to get some replacements.

He was a great addition to the team when he arrived & for most of the time that he has been with us as captain in the middle of the park he has been hard working & reliable - (& the penalties were very much needed on plenty of occasions) for sure last couple seasons he hasn't quite been at the races but it seems that somewhere in the background family stuff has taken its toll on him, he came to us from Olymipiacos so maybe its fitting that he is able to return to a familiar club, familiar surroundings - I will certainly remember him fondly as a Palace player of some repute & absolutely wish him well

Agree with some of those, but we should definitely keep Jimmy Mac Tomkins and Kouyate imho.

Heard he got booed by some at the awards night, if true, that might of help make his mind up to go. Great player when he first came to us, but the fall in ability in the last season & a half has been noticeable, he's going back to a club which he knows & £3.5m for him is good.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

He's always come across as a really good character with a good sense of humour. Football wise he's just lost his sharpness the last couple of seasons, often getting caught dwindling on the ball. I'll always think of him fondly, but it is time he moved on as for whatever reason he no longer seems able to keep up with the pace of the PL.

That’s pretty shocking if it’s true. Was a key player earlier in our current stint in the Prem. Deserves a good send-off on Sunday

I wholeheartedly agree.

There's nothing worse than seeing a player who really has served us well here (for me he is still the figurehead/poster boy of the Allardyce, siege mentality, us against the world to stay in the PL lot) not only fade away into obscurity but actually become a liability and clearly well below the bar of what is needed.

As I have previously posted, I would hate for his memory to be tarnished at Palace and we remember him as a somewhat past it, slow, clumsy player and instead cherish the memories of when he produced at times we sorely needed it.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Good deal for all involved.

His performances have been off the mark for a while now. Not sure I can think of a Palace player who has gone from being so hot to so cold seemingly overnight with the exception of loan signings we purchased (e.g. Reich). When he first joined I thought we'd hit the jackpot.

Lost quite a lot of respect for him as the captain of the club when he got caught having that NYE party with Mitrovic during lockdown. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the captaincy. McArthur and Ward seem to be top of the pecking order but aren't guaranteed starters, especially with Mac's injury record. Could be Guehi's.
