I got that notification as well from the Palace app on an apple device. I cursed 1-0 Ings but then pulled myself together. Then the HT score 0-0 flashed up I thought what is going on. It's bad enough without the app awarding non-existent goals for the opposition.

I got the notification, but when I saw it was 0-0 at half time I assumed the goal had been disallowed by VAR

Not just the Beeb that gets it wrong. A few years back, Soccer Saturday's vidiprinter flashed up that one Alexander Sorloth, who was on Palace's books at the time, had scored for Barrow or Boston in the National League/Conference/the league below League 2. Geoff Stelling duly announced it, but neither he or any of the other talking heads picked up that Sorloth was a Palace player!
