Difficult fixture but we could do with all three points to consolidate our aspirations to finish top half of the table.
Might win this one 2-0.

Not if we play like the last time in the Midlands against Leicester.

I’m going to sit on the fence with this one and go for a 1-1 draw.

I’m inclined to follow suit.

Villa are a similar team to us in terms of strength, in my mind anyways.

This game smacks of ‘whoever bothers turning up/wants it more on the day’ etc.

Equally, it could be an end of season stalemate where neither wants to break necks for a result, therefore 0-0/1-1 seems a fair shout for me.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

We will lose this one as we will not be able to cope with their rotational fouling. 2-1 loss. COYP

My thinking exactly, I’ll take a point though, because the home fans might just make them want it a bit more than us and Steve Gerrard comes across as a manager who will refuse to let them slip the flip flops on just yet

Dont forget they play Liverpool on Tuesday, a hammering and a few injuries wouldn't go a miss

End of season nothing games are difficult to predict and often throw up scorelines with 6's and 7's in them

0-0 it is then

Near identical form to us. Impossible to predict.

In Coutinho, Ings and Watkins they have players who can score something from nothing, so are always dangerous.

We have a few of our own mind.

Not life of death, but an important but interesting run of games now.

Villa - battle of the midfield, they ahve 4 games left and a real chance of top half

Everton - with some points at last they will be confident and fighting for everything.

Man U - might well need 3 points to avoid finishing 8th (if Wolves and WH finish well).

Silly season

Our goals have dried up, so Villa might only need one.

If we can actually turn possession into goals, then we will be winning fixtures like this.

I'm concerned that Liverpool might feel deflated after their title bid is looking nearly over. A Villa win tomorrow wouldn't be unthinkable and that would make Sunday's game very tough with them in the driving seat in terms of top ten.
