I see the guy stabbed in Beckenham Junction on April 2 has died, the other stabbed guy is ok I believe, Used to be such a nice area, its hard to know where might be safe these days-perhaps Wisbech or ASCPFC had the right idea after all , Even lanzo and eagleman!

It’s getting to the point where you could be stabbed anywhere inside the M25 over something or nothing. This happened in Beckenham Junction station but the victim was from Tulse Hill and the perpetrator from Forest Hill. At some point we could see metal detectors at train stations within a radius of central London.

Yes, its also worth mentioning that of the Croydon stabbings, most of the culprits seem to be from out of the borough .

I’m not sure about that tbh. A lot of stabbings are by Croydon boys/men. The stabbings in purley were by local youths.

I have drunken fond memories of Beckenham junction. I always think of David Bowie, Jack dee and bob monkhouse. And never of stabbings .

"BTP said Dejon Anaughe, 27, of Dunoon Road, Forest Hill, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 12 April charged in connection with the stabbing."

Dunoon Rd a couple of minutes walk from where I lived for years

I begin to fear the issue of violence and " knife crime " and all the other problems in London are beyond the point of repair.

I don't see any carrot approach working, it's time for a big stick

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

i saw the immediate aftermath of some horrendous knife crimes in the 15 years i lived in Forest Hill. i think carrying a knife is endemic in many cultures/groups of our society. Not least of which is groups of school children.

I'm old enough to remember when the likes of Purley and Beckenham were considered quite posh.

Beckenham is still quite posh - house prices certainly indicate that too

The most likely thing to happen here would be burglary but I have a huge, vicious dog. There are often burglaries where I live. Also, if you hang around town drunk in the early hours of the morning you'll probably end up in a fight. We enjoy our drunken violence.
There are gangs of the same type of youths here now - there has been one bad stabbing here in the last few years. The usual suspects, frankly.
You do have to note though, when you talk about safety, these people are stabbing each other. They're generally not stabbing random members of the public. Although there are some cases, of course. Last couple of times I was in Croydon, I felt totally safe. If that was false security or not, I don't know.

I've seen quite a lot of violence in and around Dulwich. In London, only a stones throw can separate millionaires from scuzzy areas.
