Well this season is going down the pan completely, it is clear to me PV is out of his depth, he achieved that was wanted at the beginning, attracted the players, since the Arsenal game we have gone down dramatically, poor selections, woefull subs, a bias towards African players, The "wonderful" Gallagher 17 games since an assist, our best passers, Eze, Hughes and Macca sitting on the bench, a CF that cant play the position, not a sign of any U23 players on the bench, over 70m spent and a worse position the Roy's team, who couldn't field enough players to fill the bench, wake up PV is a naïve, novice manager who hasn't a clue

Not another Watford fan on here!

Just a joke of course and I agree, for now, until we start lingering even closer to the relegation zone (should that happen).

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

This again.

Role = hold fort. Roy did it with success on next to nothing. But...

Football is also about entertainment. The Premiership is a huge international earner attracting heavy financial investors from around the globe. Roy-ball did not fulfil that objective. It was dull.

Thus, Viera is not hitting the same mark as Roy in terms of points (yet? ever?). However, it is so much better to watch.

Next season will be the test as we move from transition to full-on Viera-ball. Will we add points to the fun?

I will agree on one thing though. I really want to see more youth on the bench.

Well he wont be a 'novice' next year he will be a 'Stayer'

Jesus we were all hoping and praying this time last year that the upcoming transition of the squad rebuild wouldnt result in relegation ,some had us nailed on .

A comfortable season without relegation fears ,a cup run and entertained to boot were beyond our wildest dreams .

It will take another two or three transfere windows at least to complete the job , keep the faith , Super Pat is doing just fine .

Speak for yourself Elpis!

We could be battling for 4th at this stage and I'd still be calculating the mathematical possibility of us ending up 18th!

PV ...strong against Top sides, and mediocre against journeyman teams. We struggled to grind out a win at The Den against the poverty-scum.

Roy....consistent and boring. Lots of draws.

which do i prefer ? undecided.

Kayla did Anfield & Old Trafford

I think the main difference is that last season I had stopped looking forward to watching matches, whereas this season I have mostly enjoyed them.

Where exactly do you think Palace can finish in this league?
At our current level of investment, between 10th and 17th is all we can hope for.
To break the top 10 would take a big financial push, and one has to wonder if any chairman in that position would consider it worthwhile to double their spending to get 2 places higher in the league.
To add to that. Top players want top clubs as a rule. You have to attract players irrespective of the money you have to spend. They have to believe you can achieve things in line with their ambitions.
Vieira is more likely to get a better standard of player than the likes of Roy.
Vieira does do some strange things, but I can't remember a manager who hasn't.
