Sweden now has 8-9% Muslim population, total population is about 10 million. Now there are widespread serious riots with the police as the target.Total number of Swedish police, 32,000.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

The Swedes naively thought that a huge influx of people from a totally alien culture ,with very different approach to things that are standard in Sweden, freedom of speech, female equality, freedom to be gay etc etc would not lead to exactly where it has. It's going to be a hard lesson

It's going to be a hard lesson I doubt the Swedes thought that! I read in one of my crime magazines recently that they have a real problem with gun crime now with most of it down to criminal family mafias including one really big and powerful muslim gang.

Similar issue to the Sunak thread really. When it's beneficial in the moment to corporations and politicians with power and influence, that wins out. Those paying for all of this and voting these 'servants of the people' in are viewed as a minor inconvenience to push aside. Edited by BlueJay (18 Apr 2022 10.51am)

Gun violence in Sweden hardly surprising. We can thank Tony Blair for banning the possession of guns here in 1997, one can only imagine what it would be like now. At the time it was opposed by the tories as you would expect. 'Tough on crime tough on its causes'.

Major's Tory government brought in far ranging gun controls after Dunblane and again just before they lost power, Blair added some further regulations in 1997.

Finland, Norway and Iceland all have higher rates of gun ownership than Sweden but don’t have the same problem.

The 'further regulations' banned the possession of all handguns in the UK as my post stated, previous tory legislation did not. It was opposed by the then tory opposition and many others thought it was going too far. My 'dangerous views' of not having guns? 'Not the brightest'
