I occasionally take a peek at the Comrades site for an alternative view and have just seen that it's been closed down. Seems like it was because of a problem with folk from BBS, although it's none too clear. Anyone got more info and an idea whether it's likely to be revived? Just curious.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

I'd be interested to learn more Elgin said the site had been hacked and seemed to blame Ukrainians at first. Then said it was people from the BBS. I think they changed logo and a few other things. Elgin said he can't afford the cost and time to keep dealing with issues arising. Shame as it was where I went to when I wanted to find out what TASS/Sputnik were spouting at any given time. Elgin is nothing if not loyal.

Never went there much but a disappointment. I don't like banning and censoring things or most sanctions which appear to have the opposite effect to that intended and damage innocent people. We should be at war with Putin imo and I struggle to think how Elgin could defend Russian behaviour in Ukraine. But then I won't know now, will I.
