He was in a band called ‘the wanted’, lived round the corner from me. Married, 2 kids 33 years old, died today from brain cancer.

Poor bloke. Some get a cruel role of the dice. He dealt with the situation with a lot of dignity and was even back touring with his band mates. RIP x

Simply awful news. A cliche but it puts the lives of most of us here in perspective. Edited by Slimey Toad (31 Mar 2022 10.11am)

Cancer is becoming far more prevalent than it used to be. what is it - 2 in 1 people will get it nowadays? I'm convinced the Cause, once its found, will be something we do or have taken for granted as part of modern life. and it wouldn't surprise me at all if it's something like microPlastics. The fight against cancer is one of the largest battles humans will ever fight.

My daughter’s in mourning, she went to all their concerts and met him a few times back stage etc. She went a couple of weeks ago and he came out on stage, he could hardly walk, he had one limp arm, one eye shut, the whole audience was singing ‘we love Tom’

Devastating for his family, and obviously for the poor bloke. Poor wife and kids.

Sorry to hear that, I lost my dad when he was 60 and it seemed bad enough!! You’re right, it doesn’t make sense, not that I’ve ever been religious, but it definitely went out the window for good watching my dad die a slow and painful death 30 years ago
