After a few months is seems GB News is a success. Despite all the early uninformed speculation the content has a balance with a substantial number of pro - left presenters and guests, and a very diverse core of main presenters. Now, Sky Sports is advertising on GB News, a station in direct competition to Sky News. Irony abounds
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Nothing ironic about that at all. It's just advertising sales. If the Sky Sports advertising director thinks that the GB News audience is a a sellable market they'll advertise there.

Sky has no genuine scruples, and GB News can't afford to say no. That's true, but I do agree with HKO when he says that GBNews is proving to be a huge improvement on it's opening broadcasts. Michelle Dewberry, Simon Jordan's partner, hosts a lively show and Dan Wootton is amusingly non PC and anti woke. GBNews is becoming a credible alternative.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Now, Sky Sports is advertising on GB News, a station in direct competition to Sky News. Irony abounds I've taken a look a few times and yet to see any balance. Maybe between the far right and the not quite so far right, but nothing that convinced me that I was going to be given a genuinely objective presentation. I stumbled on an "interview" with David Starkey the other day, who seems to be a frequent contributor. It wasn't an interview at all, as the presenter was frequently interjecting his own opinions. Starkey claims to be a historian, which he is, of the Tudor period. That doesn't stop him opining on anything else at all, including the history of Russia and Ukraine. He is a professional controversialist. He takes fees for stirring pots. Whilst clearly intelligent and erudite, I don't think you can trust someone who openly admits to making a career out of disagreeing with people. He strikes me as coming from a similar mould to Farage. GB News appears to be an echo chamber for those who feel they don't hear the echoes that circle between their own ears as often as they need them to be reinforced.

This really demonstrates what you are. You are so used to being fed a diet of liberal, woke nonsense, that you have forgotten what balance looks like. GB News, even with its limited budget, is far better than the rest.

I thought you were writing about Laura Kuenssberg there for a minute. Of course, it couldn’t have been, as she is totally unbiased in her reporting.

She doesn't offer opinions. She is genuine, high quality journalist who communicates the key issues very well. Quite unlike the attention seeking Farage or Starkey.

She could not be any more biased if she was holding a party political broadcast, which I sometimes think she is.
