Much has been said about our third goal against Everton. It's been described as lucky because Michael Olise mis-hit his shot and it rebounded off the post. This followed an earlier, similar, attempt and which to me looked somewhat like a top-spin lob in tennis which dips violently and stays in court. So was it luck or skill? I'm sure he knew exactly what he was doing. This boy looks incredible to me.

Yes he meant it,he was watching it, look at his body language.

The lads got SKILL, he's the spin master, look at the corner he took before mg goal that nearly went in, not saying he meant that , but his aim was to get as close to goal and cause danger, it turned out to be a sighter for mg goal.

Look at some of the crosses he's put in this season on the money for someone to put it or nearly going in the net. Very dangerous very brilliant.

He means most of what he does.

He looks to be one footed, but WHAT a foot!

If tactically he had a runner with him blocking the defender on the inside defender closing him down we could profit even more, but prob don't need that because he's so accurate.

Spot on. If Salah had done it it would have been on the 9 o'clock news

I thought it a mis hit he was aiming for the top left of the goal and over did it, still I am not complaining.

100% skill. The lad knows exactly what he's doing.

You could see him thinking "Poor old Wilf, just missed a sitter. If I bounce it off the far post it'll fall for him to smash in".

Seriously, we have a wonderful player in Olise who is a delight to watch. His feet glide around the ball as he steers it exactly where he wants. Mesmerising, like Michael Jackson's moonwalk.

He and Eze are very similar to watch in the way they slide through the opposition. It was so good to see them both start yesterday. And, what a difference it has made to Wilf eh?

I just hope we can make life at the Palace attractive enough for him to want to stay for a few more years.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I think his reaction was telling. He didn't wheel off celebrating, kind of looked embarrassed.

Guessing he hit it off his standing foot?

According to the report in The Times: "Zaha's pass eventually went through to Olise, who shot against his own leg, the ball lopping onto the post for Zaha to react first and fire home."
But I reckon Reg Paddock has it right and the Times is wrong. Olise is making a habit of curling in these shots aimed at the far post
(watching on TV, this one curled so much, I actually missed Wilf's goal - I'd looked away from the screen having assumed Olise's shot had gone well wide).

He never wheels of celebrating! He'd be a greay poker player.

Exactly what I did! I couldn't even work it out from the replay!!

Kicking the ball against your own leg is both immensely skillful and credits you with an assist as well as a goal should it go in.

To my ageing eyes,Olise hit the ball against his standing leg which of course was unintentional.
However I am 70 this year,my eyes have clearly deteriorated with the passage of time, accordingly my assertion could be hogwash.
