If a football fairy godmother offered you one win and one defeat in the forthcoming matches against Everton - FA Cup quarter-final and Premier League, which would you choose to win?

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Cup all day long.

In seasons past, when we have flirted with the bottom three places, league takes absolute priority and still, generally, does for me.

We do however look safe for this season (he says whilst provoking anxiety within himself just for thinking it) and that would be my reasoning.

A double over Man City however would be a real coup/highlight however a trip to Wembley, balanced on one game, does seem far more enticing! I would also humbly suggest we have more chance of a cup run (or dare I even say win) then we do of winning the league/getting a CL spot.

COYP!!!!!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

No brainer, FA Cup, we’ve got plenty of other games to get league points

It has to be the Cup. We ain't going down (nor are we anywhere near Europe, but very close to Wembley).

There is of course the added factor of potentially being able to send Everton closer to 'the drop'.

But of a redundant thread. We can with both games.

No, Id rather others dropped. Too many mates support Everton and I have an odd fondness for them. The enemy of my enemy etc.

Of course we can. It's a fantasy thread. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

As much as it would be nice to put a nail in Everton's survival hopes, I'd rather win the cup game and lose the league game at Goodison. That way, it's a trip to Wembley and the dream lives on (for a little while at least). Also even if Everton were to beat us in the league, they might still go down.
