Starting to get a bit fed up with Pat now. Today was bloody negative. His general tinkering and bizarre subs are starting to grate. Despite all the praise heaped on him, we have only won 1 game in about 10 games i think. Thats relegation form. Talk is cheap now, we have a huge week coming up with these 2 games against Watford and Burnley

Agreed , everyone who wanted hodgson out etc to play more “expansive” football will soon realise like all charlton fans , Fulham , Norwich Portsmouth that it’s just not possible without a huge budget , we can’t score can’t defend and can’t see out a game , I havnt been this frustrated with a palace team in all my 33 years

Yes, I think Vieira was over praised far too soon.

We aren't playing well and that's reality and I think conceding a late goal to lose was very predictable for anyone who has watched us.

I also agree that these next two games are very important, Palace just aren't producing regularly enough.

Crazy to start this kind of thread. PV has shown us a brighter Palace and we were a couple of minutes away from grabbing a point against Chelsea, and let's face it, not many on here were forecasting a win and most thought we'd lose.

OK, we do lack bite up front, but the fault is the players not the manager. I watched the match through a stream on my tablet and there were so many fine performances. Trouble is there were also some guilty of overplaying. Chelsea are second in the PL and we had them on the ropes for long periods.

Of course we need to improve our finishing, but please don't start getting on the manager's back.

We're not a club funded by Saudi money so our manager, like the players has to come within budget.

I'm annoyed we couldn't hold on for a draw today, but I see a manager and a team under development. I'm certain we'll stay up and that next season we'll see a more polished performance and results to match.

Keep the faith glaziermart.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I'm not panicking yet.....but ask me again in two games.
Hodgson and Dyche are experienced managers, well practiced in relegation struggles and nicking undeserved points.
Vieira has yet to demonstrate a similar nous, but now's the time to start.

As mentioned in the other thread, I was highly critical of Hodgson's tactics when we couldn't muster a shot on target in 90 minutes, and it has to be the same for Vieira. Bizarre team selection, bizarre substitutions, does he even know his best starting 11 yet? At the very least, as Big Sam said, respect the point.

Wow really?? You can't of watched Palace much in the last 33 years if this season is the most frustrated you've ever been!

I think there's some massive overreacting going on... Are people forgetting that our squad has just been left to rot in the last few seasons??...
A massive transition was required and it will take time to rebuild this squad and play a new style of football.

Yes results haven't gone our way lately and performances a bit up and down but I personally don't think we will be in any danger of going down and will continue to build and grow.

The biggest concern for me is the number of late goals we concede. It's not bad luck it's clearly a concentration/inexperience issue with regard to not seeing games out and it's that, that needs addressing immediately.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

We have a dodgy run every season. We are in it and we need a win. And in the next two games or we start looking very shakey.

We're 0-3-3 in 2022 in the league. 3 points from 6 games is relegation pace.

We said a couple weeks ago how we needed at least 4 points from Norwich and Brentford. We played poorly and ended up with 2 draws. Now we're saying the same about Watford and Burnley. I'm at the point where I don't think we can beat anyone.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

Sorry but i think Pat, is doing a good job , when you look at some of the other managers some of the members were baying for them to be our manager , Benetis got sacked from Everton , Cooper sacked from Swansea , ismail whatever his name is sacked , Nuno sacked . I think it will take time for us to gell as a team and we are playing attractive attacking football who was only just beaten by European club cup winners in the last miniute of the game .

Here we go again ! Someone else challenging someone about not “being a supporter” etc
I was in the Holmesdale when we got beat 4-0 at home to scunthorpe then 3-0 at home to Doncaster same season

I was at selhurst for my first game against Oxford when Chris Armstrong and Simon roger scored and we won 2-1 and proceeded to get promoted the same season, I was then in the Arthur the next season when we lost 6-1 against Liverpool at the age of 6 in our first game that season

I was at charlton when we drew 2-2 and got relegated and yes I still agree this is the most frustrating side I have ever seen as a palace team because we can’t win I don’t expect us to win and when we are drawing in last 5 mins I expect us to lose

My opinion , anyone else wants a pop at my loyalty or whatever I won’t come on this site no more
