Just been reading rumblings on here, and with missing out on Van der Beek and the Newcastle rumours it seems this could be true. I was looking forward to seeing Conor, Eze and Hughes as a trio, but they might not gel in the way we wud hope and a professional could see why. I notice Vieira likes to get the ball moving quickly, look at the way Andersen fires passes through midfield, but Eze tends not to make himself available and look to move the ball on, instead he tends more to keep the ball until an opening arises then release it - like Olise and Zaha he has great ball control so tends to dwell on the ball, too much for PV's liking perhaps? It seems likely to me that PV wants a different type of midfielder, less of a ball carrier and more of a box to box player whose main weapon is passing rather than dribbling, that was why he was intent on Van der Beek, that is also why Eze is not getting the game time we were hoping for. Thoughts?

Balance is the key to any team, and we only really have Olise and Eze that are creative players and both need to play

I agree, but I don’t think we can afford the luxury of Zaha, Olise and Eze on the pitch at the same time unless we play 4-4-2 which is unlikely.

With an efficient striker and two busy effective holding midfield players it may be possible to use all three of Eze,
Zaha and Olise in a 4231 formation.
However, I agree that with the current squad and system employed it's unlikely we'll see it.
I wouldn't mind seeing it tried against Chelsea on Saturday with Mcarthur and Kouyate sitting behind Eze in midfield, but I don't expect to see it.

It's all about his off-the-ball contributions I think - he doesn't press well at all, whereas Van der Beek played in the Ajax system and far more adept at it.

You can get away with it on the wing (see Olise, who also doesn't press particularly well) but as part of the midfield 3 it's imperative to our system.

Eze stands off and doesn't tackle. Good one the ball yes, but he needs to work harder on the other aspects of a midfielder's role.

QPR will be due 20% from any sale so we will get £36 Mill from the deal.
He was purchased for £16 Mill rising to £19.5 Mill.

He has been seen as one of our rising stars, a talented young player with great potential who has received plaudits from within and outside the club. I suspect their will be a degree of outrage if he is sold.

Is it 20% of sale price or 20% of profit we make? I ask the question because what happens where a club sells a player for LESS than they paid for him?
