Does anyone know if based on the video he has committed a crime rather than just an act of stupidity and cruelty

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Animal cruelty is a crime.

Whether this incident is a crime will depend on whether 'the authorities' consider it a crime and then whether they pursue a fixed penalty or a criminal charge, and in the case of the latter whether they achieve a conviction.

It is in France apparently so his homecoming could be tricky.

This is the pits. The use of the race card when debating violence against a dumb animal:

He's not debating violence is he? He's unequivocally condoned it.

I think it's very fair to question whether the fallout from this is proportionate to the severity of what Zouma has done.

Take racism out of it if it makes you happier; Marcos Alonso killed someone while drink driving, Ronaldo is heavily suspected of being a rapist... I don't see sponsors as willing to throw them under the bus or people calling for them to be sacked.

I think his point is fair, and it certainly is the pits to use phrases like 'the race card' when someone dares to question whether the fallout is a bit OTT.

I 100% agree that it's a ludicrous to dilute actual instances of racism by just crowbarring it as a distraction. Ultimately he was clearly looking for a way to defend a team mate but animal abuse is animal abuse. It likely wasn't of the gravity that it's going to be a career ender, but it's still gutter level beaviour.

edit: Oops, didn't look at the site section..

I don't agree - I think the fallout is disproportionate, and that is Antonio's point, using racism as an example.
