Like Teddy, i also watched the game, thought the lad Plange played ok, took his goal well, but, one player who stood out for me was Derby's 1st half sub Festy Ebosele. Jeez, this lad is fast, playing mostly on left side, he lost the ball in the oppo's half, then by the time Birmingham's attacker had nearly got to the 18yd box, he'd caught him up & won the ball back. His constant foray's into Birmingham's half were just Derby's defence punting a ball over the top & letting him chase it, nobody beat him to the ball.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

This is the only deal that sounds like it could happen, but if it does it seems it is one for the future and not now with the deal apparently resting on whether Derby are allowed to have him back on loan. An odd one really, but maybe just a cheaper alternative to Nketiah?

Apparently we have agreed a fee with the club the next steps are the dreaded medical and the loan back deal. I think Derby will need special permission from the EFL as they are in administration, the plan is for them to keep him until the end of the season. If the EFL refuse then I guess the deal if off unless the administrator changes his mind. 2 hurdles to jump before 11pm.

I read on the beeb that Derby can loan him back but only if his wages remain the same. Could be some creative accounting ahead.

Still only just broken into Derby's threadbare squad but if he can maintain this sort of form for the second half of the season I'd look at him for the summer while he's still a relatively unknown quantity. From 30 December. Clearly someone at the club reads this forum.

It's not looking good. I'd have thought we would have heard something. At least we're not desperate this window and should have some cry powder for the summer
