Whilst understanding the benefit of vaccination this is in my opinion a slippery slope toward enforced use of pharmaceuticals and something that has been banned as part of the Hippocratic oath since the war. Maybe it should be no surprise that an Austrian has enforced it.

If you were the ultimate in anti vaccers, what would they do? Strap you to a chair and inject you? The mind boggles. There are bound to be some.

It's not pointless, but it is proving, as I predicted, counterproductive. The last thing we want to promote is any sense of sympathy for the selfish who refuse vaccination without a medical reason. Turning them into martyrs is a bad move.

You have only to read the silly comments in this thread to understand that.

With Omicron proving to be the lower threat that it was hoped it would be, and the restrictions easing again, we need to keep the pressure on the unvaccinated, and not provide them with excuses and allies. The next mutation might not be so kind. The NHS is still under tremendous pressure. Johnson is looking for anything that could make him popular again, it's what populists do. So this isn't the time to make the unvaccinated popular. They need to be seen as the outcasts they deserve to be.
