So, we are away to our rivals tonight and I am hoping for a positive performance and positive result. I think this is the first time in years I am happy to go into this game without Wilf in attendance. Just feel Wilf lately has lost a bit but still want him part of our set-up as I personally y rate him very highly. Think this is down to a positive recruitment drive in the summer and PV getting us to play in a more positive mode. How do you feel?

I don't feel overly confident for this particular match, but I do feel positive for the overall season. Losing Viera is what I worry about.

Dunno ... they are having a decent season and we certainly have players good enough to get something from this game. Looking forward to a fish and chip supper and an entertaining game on TV.

Whatever one's feelings towards the oppo (and I started supporting Palace when Millwall and Charlton were 'the enemy', so I don't feel particular animosity towards the Seagulls). They are a good team and play good football. Indeed, one might say they are 2 years ahead of us when it comes to playing a more expansive style. Their owners did well to stick with Potter over the first 2 years and are beginning to reap the benefits of doing so. Both teams will want to have the ball and will try and press high when they haven't got it. We surprised them at SP by showing how quickly we were adapting to the new style. They'll be ready for us this time. I'll be happy to come away unbeaten (for the third season running!)

Good thanks. Mrs POG and I have reached an agreement that she will watch TV in the kitchen while I have sole use of the main box with Sky. I have a Chilli lined up for supper and beers in the fridge. So hoping for a decent match with both Eze and Olise scoring. However, I too share concerns about PV and Brighton's recent form. We have all enjoyed the transformation of our team this season and hope that Patrick stays for at least another couple of years. I fear that if he continues to develop the team he will be poached by another club, possibly Arsenal. Brighton pose a threat tonight, their recent form, and luck, has been good, but fingers crossed.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Sums up my thoughts aside from the fact that living down here means the Brighton rivalry is ever present ! But Charlton are the club I truly detest
