Many current day supporters won't have heard of him, but sadly legendary Palace fan Denny Warren has past away.

Was only reading on the Millwall site yesterday about Millwall /palace games- someone mentioned one palace fan in the Millwall end back in the day-took a hiding but was alone- it was Denny! They even knew his name, I remember one bloke took a sword in their end back in the day- not sure that was DW. R.I,P Denny, Palace legend.

Very sad to hear this. Love to all his family. As a youngster passionately supporting Palace at games from the mid sixties onwards, the world seemed a safer place with Denny in it. RIP big fella.

It was so sad to hear that he had passed away, having known him since we were young. Always stood fairly close to his group on the old Holmesdale, and likewise, sat fairly close when seating came in (surprising how many of us actually opted for sets in the same areas we used to stand) Not a man to ever shy away from a fight, or fail to stand up for what he thought was right. A real 'old school' type, but also a real gent - with a twinkle in those blue eyes he could be a real charmer when he chose. Thoughts and prayers go out to all his family - there'll never be another Denny Warren, they threw the mould away after him. RIP Denny.

Bit of a legend on the terrace’s back to n the ‘70’s. Went too many an away game back then, the song “Denny is our leader” was always a favourite. RIP

Used to stand very close to him and his mates near the top of the middle pen of the Holmesdale during the dire early 1980s seasons. A proper character with a great sense of humour, which made up for the football.
