You need very different skills as a CM.

Just because he can play a few long rangers, doesn't mean he can be a CM.

Plus when fit we have Macca, Connor, Hughes, CK, Luka, Jiro. So we have enough.

Andersen can also play at right back, he has for Denmark, midfield is a step too far, not mobile enough.
Benteke can head the ball reasonably well, but that doesn’t mean he can play at CB.
