Must play on Saturday so he is cup tied and therefore not as attractive for a recall for Chelski, or for any other prem club who may swoop with a ridiculous offer.
Also like to see us have a good cup run, helps confidence and you never know we look comfortable enough to give it a real go.

I thought Chelsea couldn’t recall Gallagher (unless he’s sold) as he’s played too many games for us this season, and anyone making a ridiculous offer will not worry about FA cup.
I also think if someone makes an offer Palace would try to match, but Chelsea won’t sell.

The top sides (and also the lesser sides!) play weakened teams in the FA Cup these days, so I can't see this being a material factor.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

IMO If you are going to pay £50 odd mill for one of the hottest prospects in English football I'd doubt you'd care if he misses a few FA cup games.

I wouldn't play him on Saturday.

Keep him fresh for the next league match.

Very sensible, keep him fresh and don't risk injury, rather have him available for the PL fixtures where points are more important to us!

He would be considered part of a weakened side at Chelsea surely who would probably only play in cup games if he was still there.

All bit irrelevant, he is our player until the end of the season. There is no recall option, therefore Chelsea can’t sell him either until June.

Basically agree Neillo. Have I missed something, though? Is it still a mystery why he wasn't available for the last couple of league games? In other words, is he even fit to play on Saturday? I want the club to ensure he's fully ready for the trip to the South Coast Friday week. We can beat Millwall without having to risk him but we'll need him Friday week.

More important than our massive rivals in the cup, he's got to play.

As has been said "cup tied" issue is nonsense, he is here for a minimum of this season. As for FA cup ..PLAY HIM! Hes 21 years old, hes missed the last 2 games so probably needs to get back up to speed. He came to Palace because he couldnt get games with Chelski. I want to see Vieira put out a strong side v millwall. I dont just want to beat them I want us to completely BATTER THEM.
